Apple Patents Tech to Create Invisible Input Areas on Bezels, Replace Buttons

Apple is reportedly developing technology to allow virtually invisible input areas to display information while replacing physical buttons or controls on its products. The giant has patented a "concealable input region for an electronic device."

The patent will do away with the "large buttons, keys, or other mechanically-actuated structures" used to sense inputs on a device, Apple said.
